BUILD & RUN — KNOWLEDGE AGENTS

The answer exists. It is in a PDF nobody can find.

The answer exists. It is in a PDF, an old email, or the head of the person who is on holiday — so staff guess, interrupt somebody senior, or quote a customer the wrong figure. This answers from your own material, with a citation back to the document it came from, so it can be checked, not taken on trust. It finds the passage first, then answers only from it.

YOUR BACK OFFICE

WHO THIS IS FOR

Businesses where the same questions get asked of the same two senior people all day long.

THE PROBLEM

Each of those has a price, and the expensive one is invisible: a wrong figure quoted confidently, which nobody catches until it is a dispute. The information exists and it is correct. What is missing is a way to reach it that is faster than interrupting somebody.

YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS ONLY · INDEX REFRESHED NIGHTLY, 2:00 AM

  1. Marco · dispatch

What do we bill the grocery account for detention?

  2. Agent

$85 an hour after the first two hours, billed in 15-minute increments, at pickup and at delivery.

  3. Marco · dispatch

And Mississauga to Montreal for them?

  4. Agent

Two documents disagree. The rate card says $1,650 plus fuel; load 4471 in September was billed at $1,540 plus fuel. Here are both, with their sources. I haven’t picked one.

  5. Marco · dispatch

Who pays the lumper at their Brampton DC?

  6. Agent

No document I can see answers that, so I won’t guess. I’ve added it to the list of questions without a source.

Every answer points to the page it came from, so it can be checked, not taken on trust.

A trucking dispatcher asks the knowledge agent about one account. Each answer names the document and page it came from, two sources that disagree are both shown, and a question nothing answers goes on a list, not into a guess.

What you get.

  • An agent grounded in your documents, not in general internet knowledge.
  • A citation on every answer, pointing at the source it came from.
  • Access controls, so people reach only what they are entitled to see.
  • A refresh process agreed at the outset, for when the documents change.
  • A log of the questions it could not answer, which is a precise list of what your documentation is missing.

How it works.

Priced against the scope, after a Diagnostic that is small on purpose. The shape of the work we can tell you now.

THE SHAPE
Built, then run, with an agreed cycle for refreshing documents as they change.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
The documents themselves, and a decision on who may see what.
WHAT YOU KEEP
The index and the source documents, in infrastructure under your own accounts.

What this does not include.

Published because you should know before the call, not after the invoice.

  • Answers without sources. Where it has no grounded source it is built to say so.
  • Ingesting material you do not have the right to use.

How we price this →

QUESTIONS

How does it find the answer?

The agent searches your own documents for the relevant passage before it answers, and answers from that passage alone. The index sits in your accounts, every answer carries its source, and when nothing relevant is found it says so.

What stops it making things up?

It is constrained to your material and required to cite. Where there is no grounded source it is built to say it does not know instead of producing something plausible.

Where do our documents go?

Into infrastructure in your own accounts. Retention and deletion are agreed before anything is ingested, not afterwards.

What about documents that contradict each other?

It surfaces both with their sources and does not pick a winner. Two rate cards disagreeing is a finding, and usually one worth having.

Bring us one bad week.

Book a pilot call. Tell us where the week goes wrong, and we’ll tell you what an Operations Diagnostic would map and measure.

The first paid step has a clear scope and an end date, and the pilot after it is one workflow — not a platform, and not an open-ended retainer.
