TERMS OF USE

The terms for this website.

What you can rely on from the pages here, and what you cannot. The agreement covering work we do for you is a separate document, signed before the work starts.

What this covers

These terms apply to this website. They are not the agreement under which we would do work for you — that is a separate contract, specific to the engagement, signed before anything starts. Nothing on this site forms an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing here creates a client relationship.

The calculators are illustrative

Every calculator on this site multiplies out figures you supply, using assumptions we state on the page. They are a way of thinking about an order of magnitude before a conversation, and they are not a forecast, a quotation, or a guarantee of a return.

Change an input and the answer changes. Check the result against your own records before you act on it, and do not treat it as financial, legal or accounting advice — it is none of those things.

Figures and examples

Worked examples on this site are labelled where they are assumptions, not measurements, and benchmark figures cite their source. Where we have not measured something, we say so. Dull and correct beats confident and wrong.

Nothing here is advice

These pages describe what we do and how we think about it. They are not legal, accounting, tax, insurance, employment or safety advice, and reading them does not make us your adviser. Where something here touches a rule your business is bound by — a licence, a safety regime, a privacy obligation, an employment standard — take it to someone qualified to advise you on that rule before you act on it.

Using this site

  • The forms are for you. Do not use the calculator’s email box to send figures to an address that is not yours, and do not use the unsubscribe page to stop mail to an address that is not yours.
  • Do not submit either form automatically, work around the checks on them, or request pages fast enough to degrade the site for anyone else.
  • Do not use the text, design or code here to train a model, and do not republish it as your own. Quoting with attribution and linking are fine, and welcome.
  • If you have found a security problem, we would rather hear it than not: /.well-known/security.txt says where to send it and what we ask you not to do while you look.

Who owns what

  • The text, design, illustrations and code of this site belong to MexaBuild.
  • You may read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it.
  • What we build for a client belongs to the client — the configurations, workflows, playbooks and documentation stay with them if the engagement ends. That is a term of the engagement, stated here because people reasonably ask before they enquire.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Bring us one bad week.

Book a pilot call. Tell us where the week goes wrong, and we’ll tell you what an Operations Diagnostic would map and measure.

The first paid step has a clear scope and an end date, and the pilot after it is one workflow — not a platform, and not an open-ended retainer.
