ACCESSIBILITY

Built to be used with a keyboard, a reader, or neither.

What MexaBuild holds this site to, what has been measured, what is still outside our control, and where to write when something is in your way.

The standard

This site is written to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to keep meeting it: the checks below run against the source on every change, so a page cannot quietly fall back.

That is a claim about the site itself. The booking calendar is a separate service, described further down.

What was measured

On 11 September 2026 every page of the site — eighty-four of them — was checked in a browser, not read from a checklist:

  • Every run of text against what is actually behind it, including the animated background, at 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large figures.
  • The keyboard path through every page: the skip link, the menus, the questions on the FAQ page, the calculators and the one form.
  • A visible focus ring on every control, and nothing focused hiding under the fixed header.
  • Headings in order, one main landmark, the navigation and footer outside it, and a name on every link and button.
  • Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels, or spaced so a thumb cannot hit two.
  • Every automated check in axe-core against WCAG 2.2 A and AA.

Using the site without a mouse

The first Tab press on any page reaches a link that skips the navigation and lands on the content. In the phone menu, Escape closes it and returns you to the button that opened it; while it is open, nothing behind it can take focus.

The calculators are ordinary number fields with labels and hints; their results are announced as they change. The questions on the FAQ page open with Enter or Space.

Motion

The background moves with the page, and the visuals on the service pages run on their own. If your system asks for reduced motion, all of it settles to a still image. If it does not, the switch at the foot of every page — Motion: on — turns it off, and the choice is remembered on this device.

Nothing on the site flashes, and no motion carries information you cannot get from the text beside it.

What is outside our control

The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by a scheduling service and rendered in a frame. We have named the frame and placed it in the reading order, but its own controls are that service's, and we cannot change them. If it does not work for you, write to support@mexabuild.com and we will book the call by email.

Tell us what is in your way

If any part of this site is hard to read, reach or operate, write to support@mexabuild.com with the page and what happened. It goes to the person who builds the site, and it will be answered within five working days — usually with a fix, otherwise with a way around it.

Changes

This statement is re-dated whenever the site is re-measured. The measurements themselves are kept as tests in the site's source, which is the only way a statement like this stays true after the day it was written.

Bring us one bad week.

Book a pilot call. Tell us where the week goes wrong, and we’ll tell you what an Operations Diagnostic would map and measure.

The first paid step has a clear scope and an end date, and the pilot after it is one workflow — not a platform, and not an open-ended retainer.
