One piece of work.
Something a small operation does by hand every week, what it takes to hand it to a machine, and the number to check it against in your own business.
Easy to leave.
Every message says who it is from, gives our postal address, and carries an unsubscribe link. Stopping is acted on at once.

The afternoon-before reminder

THIS MONTH’S PIECE OF WORK

Every week, a few people forget. The hour they booked sits empty, and nobody finds out until the time has passed. This month’s piece of work is the reminder: a text at 15:00 the afternoon before, from the calendar you already book into, that asks for a yes.

What it takes:

  • The calendar you already book into, read once a day.
  • One message in your own words: the time, the place, and a way to say no.
  • A rule for who gets a call instead of a text.
  • Every reply that says no goes to a person, who offers the gap to the next name on the list.

The number to check

No-shows, the four weeks before against the four after

Count both from your own calendar. If the number does not move, the reminder is not worth keeping.
